Mobeye CM-Guard

The Mobeye CM-Guard is a 4G alarm module designed to monitor sensors, devices and machine signals and to transmit alarm notifications. It is versatile, reliable and compact. In the event of an alarm, the CM-Guard notifies the designated contacts via the Mobeye app, a phone call, text message or email.

The CM-Guard operates entirely on battery power or on 12–24 V DC. Any potential-free sensor can be connected. With a range of configuration options, such as alarm messages texts per input, alarm delay, reset messages, repeat messages and test messages, the CM-Guard can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Potential-free alarm inputs

The Mobeye CM-Guard (CM4000) has two dry contact inputs for connection to potential-free alarm contacts or sensors. This allows it to monitor the status of a device or external sensor and to oversee the operation of a machine or the condition of sensors.

External voltage vs battery powered

The GSM alarm detector can operate on external power, or in “low power mode” for long periods on batteries only. This means that the detector can be used anywhere.

Power failure alarm

When using an external power source, the Mobeye CM-Guard also continuously monitors whether power is present. If the power fails, it sends an alert; by choice via push notification, voice call, text message and/or email. A regulated 12–24V DC power source or a mains adapter can be connected to the power input. As soon as the power fails, the internal batteries take over and a notification is sent. The input contacts and connected sensors continue to be monitored. Once power is restored, a notification will be sent.

Alarm transmission and additional security

The Mobeye CM4000 sends alarm notifications via app (iOS/Android), phone call (voice message), text message and/or email. For push notifications, you can choose between an escalation plan or a group message. With the escalation plan, the recipient can ‘acknowledge’ the push notification, meaning the other contacts will no longer receive the message. If none of the push notifications are manually acknowledged, a call will still be made. The number of contacts is unlimited.

The Mobeye SIM card, which can be activated online, provides the device with full functionality, including access to the Mobeye Portal and the app. The Mobeye Portal provides an overview of the status, supports online programming and monitors the regular test signal (keep-alive). With the Mobeye SIM card, communication takes place via the 4G network (and 2G). The SIM card offers a choice of multiple providers per country and can be used internationally. Various internal fallback mechanisms ensure reliable communication.

If you insert your own SIM card, the features of the Mobeye Portal and Mobeye App will no longer be available. Alarm notifications will then be sent via text message and/or phone call to a maximum of 5 phone numbers. Please note that not all mobile network operators support the call function, a number of additional security features will no longer be available, and Mobeye will be unable to offer the full range of support options.
