Stay informed about the irrigation system
During prolonged dry spells, the irrigation system ensures that crops and farmland remain moist. An irrigation reel needs to be moved regularly. By sending a signal to the farmer, the Mobeye Reel Monitor alerts them that the reel has reached the end of a strip, possibly in conjunction with switching off the pump.
How it works
As soon as the reel reaches the end stop, the Mobeye reel alarm (CM4000) alerts designated contacts via their phone. The alert is sent as a push notification via the Mobeye Messages App, or as a call, text message or email.
How to install
Depending on the installation, various alerts are possible:
- Many irrigation reels have a shut-off bracket with a make/break contact. This switch is connected to a potential-free input of the CM4000.
- If the irrigation pump has an automatic shut-off mechanism with a (relay) output signal, the CM4000 is connected to it.
- If the sprinkler reel has a relay contact that switches when it gets to the end stop, the CM4000 is connected to it.
Switching off the pump remotely
To prevent water loss at the end stop, a water pump can be switched off remotely. The Mobeye CM4042, with relay outputs, is used for this purpose. Switching off is done manually via SMS, or automatically controlled by the reel sensor (CM4000).
