Alarm dialer with output control
For receiving fault reports
and remote switching
CM4042
Mobeye CM-Guard-42
The Mobeye CM4042 is the alarm module with four potential-free inputs and two relay outputs. A reliable alarm and control module for monitoring sensors and remotely controlling devices. In an alarm situation and in the event of a status change, the CM4042 informs contacts via app, telephone call, SMS or e-mail.

Alarm module with output control
to monitor sensors
and switch devices
The CM4042 has four input channels and two output relays, with a built-in 2G/4G communication module. Potential-free sensors and fault contacts can be connected to the inputs. The outputs can be switched via SMS command, or automatically following an alarm. The configuration offers a wide range of options for adapting this telemetry module to your specific requirements.
Potential-free alarm inputs
The Mobeye CM4042 has four NO/NC inputs, for the connection of alarm contacts and sensors. It monitors the status of a device or external sensor, and monitors the functioning of a machine or the condition of sensors. Apart from make/break contacts, output signals between 0 and 48V can also be seen as alarm event. Please refer to this documentation.
Relay outputs
The Mobeye CM4042 has two relay outputs for controlling devices. These are bistable relays capable of switching a maximum of 30V/1A. Switching is triggered via an SMS command or following an alarm. By setting a pulse time for the output relay, it switches off automatically; separate SMS commands can also be used for ‘on’ and ‘off’.
External voltage vs battery powered
If the CM4042 is powered externally (>10VDC), the communication module is always connected to the mobile network. The relay can then be controlled remotely via SMS. The alarm detector can also operate for long periods on batteries only. The inputs are then still monitored.
Power failure alarm
When using an external power source, the Mobeye CM4042 also continuously monitors whether power is present. If the power fails, it sends an alert. A regulated 12–24 V DC power source or a mains adapter can be connected to the power input. As soon as the power fails, the internal batteries take over and an alert is triggered. The input contacts and connected sensors continue to be monitored. The (bistable) relays remain in their current state. When the power supply is restored, a message is also sent.
Alarm transmission and additional security
The Mobeye CM4042 sends alarm notifications via app (iOS/Android), phone call (voice message), text message and/or email. For push notifications, you can choose between an escalation plan or a group message. With the escalation plan, the recipient can ‘acknowledge’ the push notification, meaning the other contacts will no longer receive the message. If none of the push notifications are manually acknowledged, a call will still be made. The number of contacts is unlimited.
The Mobeye SIM card, which can be activated online, provides the device with full functionality, including access to the Mobeye Portal and the app. The Mobeye Portal provides an overview of the status, supports online programming and monitors the regular test signal (keep-alive). With the Mobeye SIM card, communication takes place via the 4G network (and 2G). The SIM card offers a choice of multiple providers per country and can be used internationally. Various internal fallback mechanisms ensure reliable communication.
If you insert your own SIM card, the features of the Mobeye Portal and Mobeye App will no longer be available. Alarm notifications will then be sent via text message and/or phone call to a maximum of 5 phone numbers. Please note that not all mobile network operators support the call function, a number of additional security features will no longer be available, and Mobeye will be unable to offer the full range of support options.
Version for outdoor use
The CM4042 has an indoor housing. The Mobeye CM4042X is the version with outdoor housing (IP66).
