CM4400

The Mobeye Smoke Detector with extra warning function. In the event of a fire, the siren will sound and a notification will be sent to the contact persons. The smoke detector that makes the difference for people, animals and possessions.

The Mobeye CM4400 is a combination of a 10y lithium battery-operated Ei Electronics smoke detector and the Mobeye CM4410 communication module. In the event of an alarm, the loud siren sounds and the set contacts are informed via push message, voice call, SMS or e-mail. Works fully battery powered.

Alarm messages

In the event of a fire alarm, the on-site siren sounds a loud warning. In addition, the designated contacts receive a notification via the app (iOS/Android), a phone call (voice message), a text message and/or an email. For push notifications, you can choose between an escalation plan or a group message. The group message is sent to everyone at the same time. With the escalation plan, the recipient can acknowledge the push notification, meaning the other contacts will no longer receive the message. If none of the recipients acknowledge the push notification, a call will still be made. There is no limit to the number of contact persons.
The Mobeye CM4400 can forward fire and test alarms to a private control room (ARC) for professional follow-up. Read further.

Single smoke detector or multiple in a wireless network

Choose from a range of smoke alarms with alarm transmission

  1. The Mobeye CM4400 Smoke Detector is designed for situations where a single smoke detector (with alarm transmission) is sufficient.
  2. For situations involving multiple smoke, heat and CO detectors, there are wireless-compatible Ei Electronics detectors (such as the Ei650iRF). The network of Ei Electronics detectors includes a single Ei428RF (or Ei413RF) wireless relay module; you connect the Mobeye CM4100 alarm detector to the relay. As soon as one of the detectors in the network detects fire or CO, all sirens sound and the communication module sends an alert.
  3. A fully battery-powered network comprising multiple smoke detectors can be set up by using the CM4400-RF as the starting point and combining it wirelessly with the Ei650RF or Ei650iRF smoke detectors. The CM4400-RF is a combination of the CM4400 and a matching RF module.
  4. For other combinations of smoke detectors with alarm transmission – such as 230V-powered smoke detectors – see the infosheet.

Battery operated vs. external power

The CM4400 works on batteries. It can be used autonomously, anywhere. The Ei Electronics smoke detector has a 10-year lithium battery. The integrated communication detector works for more than a year on 2x CR123 batteries.
In order to use external voltage the power module AC-FA-EP is required. This accessory fits in the device and includes a country-specific mains adapter.
The combinations with the relay module and the CM4100 operate on external voltage. Due to the backup battery in the CM4100, a power failure can be sent as a notification.

Network and SIM card

The Mobeye SIM card, which can be activated online, provides the device with full functionality, including access to the Mobeye Portal and the app. The Mobeye Portal provides an overview of the status, supports online programming and monitors the regular test signal (keep-alive). With the Mobeye SIM card, communication takes place via the 4G network (and 2G). The SIM card offers a choice of multiple providers per country and can be used internationally. Various internal fallback mechanisms ensure reliable communication.

If you insert your own SIM card, the features of the Mobeye Portal and Mobeye App will no longer be available. Alarm notifications will then be sent via text message and/or phone call to a maximum of 5 phone numbers. Please note that not all mobile network operators support the call function, a number of additional security features will no longer be available, and Mobeye will be unable to offer the full range of support options.
