Security Essen 2026
The biennial Security Essen trade fair will take place in Essen, Germany, from 22 to 25 September 2026. Mobeye will be there and we look forward to meeting you.
Fire & Safety Event 2026
April 2026 – On 15 and 16 April, Mobeye attended the Fire & Safety Event at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. With a busy line-up of exhibitors and a large number of attendees, this trade fair truly cemented its place in the Dutch security sector. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Telecom news
March 2026 – Telecoms providers are in the process of phasing out 2G. The providers’ timetable has already been postponed several times, as many devices still operate on 2G and due to the scale of the work involved.
We recommend consulting the websites of the various providers per country to get to know about your situation.
If one 2G provider remains you can switch to that one, or choose a Mobeye SIM. if you still own a device from the 2G series (i110, Argos, MS100, MCK100, CM2 devices) and if you wish to extend the lifespan of your Mobeye 2G device. The Mobeye SIM card is a multi-network SIM card and can choose which network to use. With this SIM card, you can therefore continue to use 2G for as long as possible. You can request the SIM card from us. You register your device in the Mobeye Portal. As well as a robust SIM card, you immediately benefit from the advantages offered by the portal.
Nevertheless, it is advisable to replace your 2G device with a Mobeye device from the CM4 series, featuring the latest 4G technology. These devices are future-proof and utilise the highly penetrative 4G CAT1 band, which enhances reliability. Please feel free to contact us for advice. You can reach us via the contact form.
Switch to CAT-1 communication module
November 2025 – Between 2020 and 2025, Mobeye products were equipped with a communication module that operates via the 4G LTE-M network. Due to international decisions regarding 4G networks, new products will now be fitted with a CAT-1 (with 2G fallback) module. The CAT-1 band is energy-efficient, has a long range and good penetration within buildings. The CAT-1 band supports data, SMS and voice, and the APN settings are usually retrieved automatically. This is only relevant if ‘foreign’ SIM cards are used. The standard version is suitable for all countries except the US and Canada. For specific applications, products with LTE-M and a CAT-1 WW module are available.
Monitoring of fire-resistant safes at recycling centres
19 November 2024 – Following a number of incidents involving returned batteries and rechargeable batteries, Anlag International of Ede has fitted Omrin’s recycling centres with special fireproof cabinets. These fire-resistant Li-ion cabinets offer 60 minutes of fire protection. Each cabinet is equipped with a fire detection system linked to a Mobeye wireless communication system. In the event of a fire, the responsible persons are automatically alerted.
Partnership with TUE Team Polar
June 2023 – Mobeye has entered into a partnership with a team of students from Eindhoven University of Technology, aimed at building a research vehicle. This innovative vehicle is designed to carry out climate research in Antarctica, completely emission-free and autonomously. The students are using Mobeye telemetry technology to monitor the internal climate, thereby protecting the equipment from extreme temperatures. Podcast ‘fruit growers and the risks of nightly frosts for the blossom’
March 2025 – Listening tip: an engaging podcast in which fruit grower Mark Vernooij and Jack van de Vijver (Mobeye) discuss in detail the flowering period, night frost alarms and irrigation. An informative and interesting explanation of the risks posed by night frost to buds and flowers, and how growers protect against them. In an enthusiastic account, Mark Vernooij explains how the Mobeye temperature sensor helps him during the most high-risk period of the growing season. Listen here.

December 2019: Mobeye deployed by the Almere police
In many local authorities, the Mobeye alarm is a tool to help prevent burglaries and provides extra reassurance whilst people are on holiday.
Each local authority decides for itself how discreet or visible the system should be. Watch the video that the City of Almere produced on this topic earlier this year.
September 2019 Oldtimer-Praxis
The German magazine “Oldtimer-Praxis” has put the Mobeye Argos through extensive testing and found it suitable for securing car enthusiasts’ classic cars. The editor is so convinced, in fact, that he still uses the Argos to secure his own classic car to this day.
01-12-2016 Brabant S.E. uses the Mobeye against intruders
Mobeye alarm systems are already in use in over 50 local authorities, deployed by the police and local councils. And with good reason: not only do residents gain a sense of security from the mobile alarm system and feel safe thanks to the police’s swift response, but success stories are also regularly reported.

20-7-2015 Partnership Ei Electronics and Mobeye
Hemmink and Mobeye have entered into a partnership. Both companies place a high priority on safety and quality. This partnership reinforces that commitment.
Hemmink is an importer and distributor of products including Ei Electronics smoke detectors. Mobeye has used its technology to develop a communication module for products including the Ei600 series. By working together, Hemmink and Mobeye enhance each other’s products.

12-12-2013 Ivo Opstelten receives the Mobeye i110
Thanks to the ‘1-Dag-Niet’ initiative, 11 December was dedicated to a day without burglaries. Mayor Rabelink of Schouwen-Duiveland presented the Mobeye mobile alarm system to Minister Opstelten as a measure to prevent burglaries. The Mobeye Call-Key ThermoGuard was awarded a place in the SME Innovation Summit 2013.
In 2014, Mobeye was awarded with two places in the SME Innovation Top 100; the Mobeye Argos and as “Mobeye inside” in CB Flevo’s Greenbox.
The Cow Call, a develoment together with an Irish partner, Mobeye was awarded a place in the SME Innovation Summit 2017.
The Mobeye ThermoGuard TwinLog, the temperature monitor with log functions, was awarded the ETOP Award in the Utility category in 2015.
