A Mobeye device can make phone calls, send text messages and emails to multiple contacts. For a professional response, have the Mobeye device send the alerts to a (private) control room (PAC).Forwarding to the control room

How does the process of forwarding a report to an emergency control centre work?

A (private) control room (alarm receiving centre, ARC) wishes to receive alerts in a standardised format. This allows them to identify the type of alert and the client. They then contact the designated representatives provided by the client in advance.
Every Mobeye device can send alerts to a ARC. This is done via the standard, unencrypted SIA DC/09 protocol. Virtually all control rooms use this protocol.

Which messages are reported?

Depending on your Mobeye device and the application, specific messages are forwarded to the ARC. For example, a burglar alarm system will send a different message to a smoke detector. Example: a CM4000 used to forward burglar alarm messages from a burglar alarm panel will forward the “input 1 alarm message” as a burglar alarm (BA). If the CM4000 is used to forward fire alarms, we configure the “input 1 alarm message” as a fire alarm (FA).

Examples

– burglar alarm
– fire alarm
– temperature alarm
– system fault
– power failure
– power restoration
– daily test message (“keep-alive”)
– low battery voltage

Will I still be able to receive my own messages?

In addition to forwarding alerts to an alarm receiving centre (ARC), you can still use standard communication methods (phone calls, text messages, emails) to contact your own contacts. So, if you wish to keep an eye on things yourself, you can have one or more of these messages sent to you at the same time. All past alerts will also remain visible in the events list.

Can multiple zones be set up?

A zone can be specified for each alarm. A Mobeye system with multiple inputs can therefore generate zone-specific alarms. It is even possible to have separate Mobeye devices with the same client number but different zones trigger alarms. You specify the name and location of each zone in the ARC.

What steps are required for the notification?

To forward alerts to an ARC, the Mobeye device must be connected to the Mobeye Portal. The Mobeye device sends the alerts to the operations centre via the portal, in the correct format. To set this up correctly, follow these steps:

Please check whether your control room is compatible with the SIA DC/09 protocol

Register your Mobeye device on the Mobeye Portal.

Sign a contract with the control room/ARC for follow-up.

Please contact us to arrange the ARC for your device.

We will test the call forwarding with you, after which the system can go live.

* Virtually every control centre uses the standard unencrypted SIA/DC09 protocol. Examples include Securitas, G4S, Europac, Stanley. You can also contact us first to check whether your control centre is already on our records.

Need a different type of alarm forwarding?

If a different protocol is required, or if you would prefer to work with an API, please contact us to discuss the options.

Forwarding to the control room An alarm system is only effective if the response is properly organised.
