The Mobeye WaterGuard-FS is a GSM water detector that sends an alarm message when the water level changes. The float sensor monitors the water level in a tank, basin or water container. When the water rises or falls, the WaterGuard-FS can send an alarm. Connect a second float sensor to monitor a second water level.
The float sensor has a moving part that moves up and down through rising or falling water. Internally it has a magnetic contact (“reed contact”). The water level opens or closes the moving part. The float sensor is installed horizontally, preferably with the hanging part down. If there is no suitable wall for mounting the sensor, a stainless steel support bar (with hole) can help.
The float sensor is connected to a potential-free input of the CM2300FS. A second potential-free input is available to connect a second float sensor, fault contact, or other signal to. It is also possible to connect several sensors to one input.
If there is no external power source, the Mobeye WaterGuard-FS will still function. The Mobeye CM2300FS works for a long time on a set of batteries. At normal use this is longer than a year. This makes the product suitable for monitoring the presence of water at locations lacking an external power supply.
If an external power supply source is available, we recommend to connect it (with the 12VDC adapter, available as Mobeye accessory). The device can then be accessed online, the batteries last longer and it also functions as a power failure alarm.
The Mobeye CM2300FS sends alarm notifications by telephone call (max. 5 numbers), text message and / or e-mail. The recipient can “acknowledge” a call, causing the device to stop calling the other numbers. The content of the text messages can be customised. A water float is suitable for a water layer of at least 3 centimeters. We recommend the Mobeye CM2300 to detect smaller amounts of water. That version is equipped with a leakage sensor and only needs a small layer of water for the detection.
